Culture celebrated at Latino Festival in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Families are enjoying the sunshine in Hartford today at a Multicultural Celebration.

The first ever Latino festival kicked off Sunday morning at the Mortensen Riverfront plaza. People are listening to live music on two stages.

Local vendors are there selling cultural food and drinks. There are activities for kids and artisans selling crafts.

Organizers were hoping the festival would bring all Latino groups together for one festival.They’re expecting thousands of people to be a part of it

“Today we’re going to prove that we can get together, have a good time, celebrate a culture of music, food celebrating. It’s going to be a great time,” said Victor Luna, Founder, Hartford Latino festival.

If you’re looking for something to for tonight, the festival goes until 9 o’clock and it’s free.
