HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men were arrested during an undercover drug operation that seized nearly 200 bags of heroin in Hartford on Thursday.
Officials say an undercover officer arranged to purchase heroin from 28-year-old Luis Morales-Diaz. They say he was arrested when he showed the officer the drugs.
According to authorities, police surveillance from the operation also saw 24-year-old David Ortiz trying to hide a gun in his waistband. They say he then ran in to a home where he was found with a loaded handgun.
Ortiz is charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and second-degree burglary.
Morales-Diaz is charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
