UNCASVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — This weekend comic book fans from across the region will unite in Uncasville for Connecticut “ComiCon.”
It’s going to be a super weekend for fans of super heroes, comic books, and cosplay enthusiasts. The event brings the comic book world full circle, as Connecticut was the home of the first American printed comic book published by Eastern Color Press of Waterbury in 1934.
News 8’s Ryan Kristafer transformed himself into ‘Borat’ Friday morning, and spoke with organizers Tyler Green and Ebony Amber about what you can expect this weekend.
“Today it’s going to be pretty exciting, from comic books, to films, and TV.” Green said. “Tonight, we’re going to be doing a live makeup demonstration, a special makeup effects demo, and a costume discussion.”
When asked about her favorite thing here, Amber in costume as a mistress of Hell replied, “My favorite thing here is watching all of the people walk around that I will surely see in Satan’s chambers.”
