Report-It Recap: August 14, 2015

(WTNH) — The dog days of summer are slowly but surly winding down, and that has many kids enjoying what’s left of their summer vacation.

Speaking of summer, our Report-It inbox was filled with beautiful scenes of summer. Folks went back in time in Woodbury during a Civil War re-enactment. A police officer in Ansonia took time out of his day to sit and talk with kids at camp.

The fillmore family made a trip to the big apple, and if there’s one thing we always get — it’s pictures of animals.

Leslie found cicadas in Killingworth. Nathan found whatever this is in the water in Milford, and it seems bears in Connecticut don’t mind being adventurous.

Happy birthday to Jett in Goshen, and little maverick in Bristol turned one this week, and celebrating by inhaling a cupcake.

Finally we leave you with a pumpkin in Watertown. Fall will be here before you know it.
