Man credits ‘Siri’ with saving his life

(WTNH) – Apple’s ‘Siri’ function can help you get directions, tell you when a movie starts and, apparently, help save lives!

Siri is being credited with rescuing an 18-year-old in Tennessee after his truck fell on top of him as he was working on it.

Sam Ray says he managed to wiggle his body to activate Siri on his phone which was in his back pocket. He then got her to call 911 for help.

When the 911 operator picked up, Ray started shouting his address. By the time rescue crews got to him, he had been trapped under his truck for 40 minutes. He suffered broken ribs and a bruised kidney.

Thanks to Siri connecting him to emergency responders, he now has a new appreciation for modern technology.
