Bridgeport Police Respond to Shooting

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)– Bridgeport Police responded to a non-fatal shooting Thursday morning.

They received a report of shots fired near the corner of East Main and Artic streets around 12:26 a.m. When police got to the scene, they found the victim, a 43-year-old male.

The victim had been shot in the left calf. He told police he heard several shots fired as he left a store on East Main Street.

The victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where he is in stable condition.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Bridgeport Detective Bureau at 203-581-5201.
