Hamden Police Investigating Robbery at Pizza Shop

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)- Hamden police are investigating after a robbery at a pizza restaurant. It happened around 11PM last night, at Slyce Pizza on Arch Street.

Police say the owner was sitting in his office when two men came through an unlocked screen door and took 2 bottles of liquor from his office. Police say that’s when the owner tried to grab one of the suspects and a struggle broke out. Police say the other suspect tried to hit the owner with a bottle.

That’s when police say both suspects ran out of the restaurant, going north on Fairview Avenue.

The owner wasn’t injured. Police are still investigating and searching for the suspects.
