Hartford Police shut down marijuana growing operation

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)  –  Two people have been arrested and a marijuana growing operation has been shut down by Hartford Police.

Police have charged 24 year old Jaleel Wooley  and 36 year old Jamie Grant, both of Hartford, with cultivation of marijuana.

According to police they were alerted to a marijuana growing operation at 39 Ansonia Street Wednesday night and set up surveillance of the address and saw a garden type area with several tall green leafy plants.

Police discovered there were 92 marijuana plants and 15 plastic zip lock bags containing marijuana packaged for street level sales.
