Portland man pulled from Middletown water dies

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — A Portland man pulled from water in Middletown on Wednesday afternoon has died.

ORIGINAL STORY: Unresponsive male rescued from water in Middletown

According to police, 26-year-old Andrew Frizzen did not resurface after jumping in to water at the quarries at the end of Bow Lane. They say he was unresponsive when firefighters rescued him. He was taken to a hospital where authorities say he died from his injuries later Wednesday.

The Middletown Police Department’s Major Investigations Division investigated the incident.
