NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Are you looking for a new job? You’re in luck. Both AT&T and Chipotle are having a job fair to hire new employees for their stores.

AT&T is looking to hire retail sales consultants and managers for their stores in North Haven, Orange, Milford, Shelton, and Hamden.  A sales background is preferred but not required.

Anyone interested in an open position is encouraged to go to the open house at the AT&T store at 300 Universal Drive in North Haven on Wednesday. The event starts at 11 a.m. and welcomes walk-ins, but anyone can start the application process by heading here. Applicants should be sure to bring copies of their resume.

AT&T is already looking ahead to what is typically a busy time of year.

“It is an exciting time. We’re looking forward to bringing on AT&T employees, new AT &T employees, from within Connecticut and in New England as well,” said Jason Potter, Area Retail Sales Manager, AT&T.

Though the company is gearing up for what it expects to be a busy holiday season, these are full time positions, not seasonal. Of the nearly 100 new employees AT&T is looking to hire in New England, 20 will be from Connecticut.

Shortly after the job fair started there was already a line halfway through the store. Folks were there waiting before doors opened. They were excited and hopeful that they’d get a job.

“I used to deal in retail in years past so I feel as though I’d be a good fit for it,” said Shawn Hutchins of Meriden. “I like helping people and I like the AT&T service and everything. I feel like I’d be a good fit for it.”

Chipotle is also looking to hire people for their new store scheduled to open at Bridgeport’s Steelpointe Harbor later this year. The job fair will be held from 8:30-4:30 on Thursday at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center, located at 999 Broad Street.
