Bridgeport police save 17-year-old from sex trafficking

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — A 17-year-old girl was saved from suspected sex trafficking in Bridgeport Wednesday.

Police were called to the Sunnyside Inn at 174 Lake Street in Bridgeport around 2:30 a.m. where they found the girl.

She told police 34-year-old Brandon Williams of Waterbury was holding her against her will, forcing her to engage in sex trafficking.

The girl is in stable condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She is currently in the custody of DCF.

Police arrested Williams and are holding him on a $50,000 bond for violation of probation pending further charges.
