Motorcyclist injured in East Lyme crash

EAST LYME, Conn. (WTNH)– A motorcyclist was injured in an early evening crash in East Lyme Wednesday.

According to the state police, a motorcycle operated by Peter Walker was traveling eastbound on Boston Post Road, with one car traveling behind him. Police say two other vehicles were heading in the opposite direction at the time of the crash.

Troopers tell News 8 the car behind Walker’s motorcycle struck him in the back and pushed him into the opposite lane, where he struck one of the oncoming cars.

Walker was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for internal injuries. Police say he was wearing a helmet at the time.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash as asked to call East Lyme Police at 860-739-5900.
