Savannah State University on lockdown after shooting; 1 hurt

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Savannah State University as sent out a campus alert placing the school on lockdown while SSU officers investigate a shooting incident near the Student Union.

According to WTOC-TV Loretta Heyward of SSU says one male has been transported to a hospital with injuries.

Students are told to stay in place and cooperate with officers and other personal.

No other information about the shooting is known.
