SEYMOUR, Conn. (WTNH) — Seymour police have found a man and his estranged wife, who they say he may have kidnapped early Saturday morning.

Authorities say 33-year-old Alan Gombos and 40-year-old Kelly Gombos showed up at the Seymour Police Department on Saturday afternoon.

Officials say someone near 51 Brookdale Road called police when they heard a woman yelling for help early in the morning. They say additional information indicated that the people involved were getting in a vehicle and were about to leave, possibly against the woman’s will. When officers arrived, they encountered a pick-up truck speeding towards them and say it tried to ram them.

According to authorities, officers avoided the truck, turned around, and attempted to stop it. They say the truck got on Route 8 South at exit 19 and sped down the highway before officers lost sight of it at exit 14.

Police say the incident remains under investigation.
