NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police arrested three men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Elm Street early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the scene at 1:00 am by the three victims who said a gunman pointed a revolver at them and demanded their valuables and phones. The victims handed over their belongings and the gunman left in a dark colored car with two other suspects in the vehicle going north on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard.
One of the stolen phones was equipped with a tracking device, which police used to track down the suspects.
Officers spotted a dark color Honda parked on Morse Street with 3 men inside the vehicle.
Upon inspection of the vehicle, officers found a gun sticking out from the rear pouch of the drivers seat.
Officers also recovered cash, several phones, and a second handgun in the vehicle.
The suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Karis Westley, 23-year-old Rajoun Julious, and 23-year-old Robert Fairweather. All three men are facing first degree robbery charges.
