Fairfield Police Search For Hit and Run Driver

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) – On Monday, August 31 Fairfield Police responded to the scene of a three-car crash.  It happened just after noon on the campus of Sacred Heart University on Park Avenue.  A Saab was backing up.  It was going fast enough to slam into a parked Jeep Wrangler and push it into a Jeep Cherokee.  The Jeep Cherokee was badly damaged.

The driver of the Saab then got out of the car and started gathering the broken pieces that fell off of it before they took off.  Police are trying to track down the driver of the Saab. If anyone has information on the suspect vehicle or person, please contact the Fairfield Police Department Accident division at 203-254-4823.
