Franklin man arrested in gas station robbery

FRANKLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police Troopers arrested a man who allegedly robbed the Mobil Mart Gas Station on Route 32 in July.

Police responded to a hold-up alarm at the gas station. When they arrived, employees of the gas station told troopers that they had been robbed at gunpoint.

25-year-old Jonathan Hinkle of Franklin was arrested by the Eastern District Major Crime Squad. He is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections for a different robbery in Griswold.

Hinkle mow faces charges of robbery in the 2nd degree and larceny in the 6th degree. His bond has been set at $20,000.

He is due in New London Superior Court on October 1.
