Hartford man arrested on drug and weapons charges

Pistol seized in drug arrest in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Hartford police have filed charges against a Michigan man who was found passed out in a car from a drug overdose.  Just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Hartford police got a call about a possible overdose in a car on Bushnell Street.  When police got there they found Mathew Ruhnke, 31, of Petal, Michigan passed out in the car.   He was taken to the hospital and later regained consciousness.  Police say they found packets of heroin in the car along with an unloaded pistol.

Ruhnke was charged with Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, and Weapons in a Motor Vehicle.
