Man seriously injured in Bristol scooter accident

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — Bristol emergency crews responded to the intersection of Riverside Avenue and East Street for a one-vehicle crash involving a scooter.

The operator of the scooter was unresponsive at the scene and appeared to have a head injury, according to Bristol police. He was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

Officials from the Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team arrived on scene on investigate the cause of the crash.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Bristol Police Traffic Division at 860-584-3030.
