New Haven police investigating Dayton Street car thefts

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police are asking the public for help in identifying a man they say opened unlocked cars and stole several items.

Officers were called to 25 Dayton Street on August 25, and 26 after car owners returned to their vehicles to find some of their belongings inside the car were missing.

The security video shows the man breaking into those cars.

If anyone has information on who this man may be you are asked to give New Haven Detectives a call at 203-946-6304.
