Police: Naugatuck man fired blank gun at stepson during argument

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) — A Naugatuck man is behind bars after police say he fired a blank gun at his stepson during an argument Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials, 35-year-old Ray Rodriguez pointed the gun at his stepson and fired the blank round at their Spring Street home. The stepson’s age was not provided. Officials say other children were home during the altercation.

Rodriguez is charged with brandishing a facsimile firearm, second-degree threatening, risk of injury to a minor, second-degree reckless endangerment, and breach of peace. He was held on $100,000 bond and is due in Waterbury Superior Court on Wednesday.
