Bristol Police Search For Hit and Run Driver


BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) – Bristol police are on the hunt for a hit and run driver.  Officers responded to the intersection of Riverside Avenue and East Street Thursday.  They had gotten a call about a serious motor vehicle crash.  The wreck involved a man on a scooter.  He’s been identified as 57-year-old Antonio Ruiz.  Ruiz was operating his scooter on Riverside Avenue.  That’s when an unidentified man hit Ruiz.  The driver took off after the crash.  Ruiz is in the hospital.  He’s in serious condition.  Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Bristol Police Traffic Division at (860) 584-3030.
