Man shot in shoulder in Waterbury

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was shot in the shoulder in Waterbury on Thursday night.

According to police, a report of a shot fired near the intersection of Pine and Willow Street came in just after 9:00 p.m. Thursday. As they were responding, they received a report of a man shot at 50 Mitchell Avenue. Officers responded to both locations.

On the street between 50 and 34 Mitchell Avenue, officers found a male victim with a single gunshot wound to his right shoulder and bicep. He was taken to Waterbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Several witnesses reported hearing a gunshot, but did not see anything.
