Former home health care worker arrested for stealing from elderly clients

LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) — A wanted Norwich woman has been arrested for stealing from elderly clients she was caring for.

Police say former Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services home health care worker Aleesha-Lin Wood has been wanted by police for larcenies committed while caring for elderly clients.

According to police, Wood, 25, stole over $10,000 worth of jewelry, gold and silver coins, silverware, and money from elderly victims. She has been charged with fourth-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree larceny, and giving a false statement.

Wood was released on a $10,000 bond.
