Police investigating after SCSU student robbed at gunpoint

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after a Southern Connecticut State University student was robbed at gunpoint Friday night.

According to the Southern Connecticut State University’s Facebook page, the robbery happened around midnight near campus. It occurred on the sidewalk in front of the 190 Pinerock apartment complex.

University officials say two men approached the student with handguns, then took personal items from him.

The suspects ran off with the student’s personal items, officials said. The student was not hurt during the robbery.

SCSU officials say Hamden police are investigating.
