Disciplinary action to be taken against Cromwell High School football coach

CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — The superintendent of Cromwell Public Schools will hold a press conference Tuesday to announce the disciplinary action that will be issued against head football coach Chris Eckert.

Dr. Paula M. Talty will address the press at her office at noon.

This is in response to the allegations of hazing that occurred on the Cromwell High School football team.

In a letter sent home to parents, the superintendent of Cromwell schools says that several under-classmen students from both Cromwell and Portland were the targets of hazing.

In an earlier statement, town officials have said that no harassment or inappropriate conduct will be tolerated.
