(WTNH) — Schools districts from all over Connecticut are dismissing their students early Tuesday and Wednesday as the heat turns up while the summer winds down.

The oppressive heat that has been forecasted for the next few days has led to school and city officials deciding to dismiss students from their schools.

“He tells me daddy it’s been so hot I can’t go to school but I tell him you have to go to school,” said one father.

Some tips for parents when sending kids to school on a hot day like today is to give them plenty to drink  like water  to make sure they’re hydrated. Of course when it comes to clothing make sure they are cool, but still appropriately dressed according to the student hand book.
