Connecticut Senators Announce Guests For Pope’s Address

WASHINGTON D.C. (WTNH) – Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy will be in the audience when Pope Francis addresses Congress on September 24th.  Each Senator also gets to bring a guest to hear the Pontiff’s address.  Thursday, Richard Blumenthal announced he’ll bring Sister Carol Ann.  She’s the Executive Director of the Villa Maria School.

Campbell is a leader in parish social ministry, having worked with parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford. She is a longtime member of St. Patrick Church in Farmington. Sister Carol Ann is a member of the Benedictine Franciscan order and Executive Director for the Villa Maria School, a private, co-educational day school serving students with learning disabilities.

 Senator Chris Murphy also made his announcement Thursday.  He’ll be bringing Bishop Caggiano of Bridgeport.
