Pepper Spray evacuates Platt High School in Meriden

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Platt High School in Meriden was evacuated Thursday morning due to pepper spray.

News 8 was on the scene at Platt High School at 220 Coe Avenue where students and staff were evacuated from the school after a student released pepper spray in the hallway, which caused people to have a reaction.

The fire and health departments responded to the scene and found that the school was safe. The students affected by the pepper spray were treated by the school nurse.

School and staff have returned to the building and classes have resumed as normal.
