Joan Cusack on “The End of the Tour”

(WTNH) — Ryan had a chance to chat with Joan Cusack about her role in the Sundance Film Festival breakout hit, “The End of the Tour.” The movie covers the story of the five-day long interview between David Foster Wallace (Jason Segel) and David Lipsky of Rolling Stone Magazine (Jesse Eisenberg). Wallace is the author of the revolutionary novel ‘Infinite Jest.’

Cusack states that although her role was smaller than Segel and Eisenberg, it was a great experience to work with such an amazing director on such an interesting topic.  Cusack describes Wallace as an intelligent social critic with profound insight on things such as fame, addiction, and distraction. Cusack also stated that she enjoyed the firsthand experience of Jason Segel growing as an actor and stemming away from his usual comedic roles.

“The End of the Tour” is in theaters now!
