State police: Body found on Route 32 in Franklin


FRANKLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — State police are investigating after a body was found on the side of the road in Franklin on Thursday night.

State police say a body was found along the side of Route 32 in Franklin. CT DOT is reporting that Route 32 north of Route 207 is closed. The road was closed just before 5 p.m. and is still closed as of 11 p.m.

Police have not released the identity of the victim and are waiting for the medical examiner to determine a cause of death.

Officials say there is no danger to the public.
