(WTNH Report It/ Rachel Poplaski)

PROSPECT, Conn. (WTNH)-  A fire that destroyed two businesses in downtown Prospect early Tuesday morning is now being ruled suspicious by local fire investigators.

The blaze on Waterbury road destroyed both a masonry business and the Golden Wok Chinese restaurant.

Prospect’s mayor Robert Chatfield, who is also a firefighter was among the first people at the scene. He had stopped for coffee right down the road, when he saw the flames. There were no injuries.
