Untimely death in Franklin under investigation

FRANKLIN, Conn. (WTNH)– Troopers from the state police are currently investigating an untimely death in Franklin.

According to police, troopers from Troop K were dispatched to a home on Route 32 around 4:30 for the report of an untimely death.

Troopers on the scene located a man on the side of the road after arriving. Medical personnel pronounced the man dead on the scene.

Police secured the scene and closed the road between Route 207 and Pleasure Hill Road while they began their investigation.

The victim is described as a white male, 5’6″, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a blue tank top, greyish/blue cargo shorts, blues sneaks and a grey New Jersey Nets hat. Police ask if you have any information about the man, or if you traveled in the area and may have observed him, that you call the Eastern District Major Crime Squad at 860-896-3230.

State police have not released the identity of the man, pending notification of his family.
