Stop & Shop recalls caramel apples that fail to list peanuts on label

(WTNH) — Stop & Shop has voluntarily recalled Tastee Caramel Apples after learning the product may contain peanuts, but the allergen is not listed on the ingredient label.

Stop & Shop is pulling Tastee Caramel Apples, 3 oz, UPC 3526600027, with a best buy date of September 29, from the shelves. The company says the product is safe for people who do not suffer from a peanut allergy.

The company says customers who purchased this product can bring their receipt to Stop & Shop for a full refund. Consumers looking for more information on the recall can call Tastee Apples at (800)262-7753 or Stop & Shop’s Customer Service at (800)767-7772.
