Archbishop talks local preparations for pope visit

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Some local church leaders will be heading to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia for the pope’s visit.

One will be the Archbishop for the Archdiocese of Hartford Leonard Blair who is planning to write a Travelogue along his journey. He met Pope Francis a little over a year ago and spoke with him Sunday morning on Good Morning Connecticut.

“You can see it in people are edified, pleased, and inspired by having the chance to have the benefit of his blessing and his presence and we’re united in faith. So it is a great experience,” said Archbishop Leonard Blair, Hartford.

Nearly 300 from Hartford are heading to Philadelphia for the World meeting of Families.
