Bridgeport Police investigating second teenage shooting in 24 hours

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — For the second time in as many days, Bridgeport Police are investigating a shooting involving a teenager.

Officers were called to the area of Trumbull Avenue and Terrace Circle for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, police found a 15-year-old black male suffering from a single gunshot wound to the back of his neck. The victim was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he is in critical, but stable condition. His name has not been released.

This all comes less than 24 hours after investigators responded to a shooting in the area of Madison Avenue and Frank Street in Bridgeport. That shooting involved a 17-year-old victim who later died at the hospital.

No word on if these shootings are connected.

Detectives are currently investigating both incidents, anyone with information on these cases is asked to give Bridgeport Police a call at 203-581-5201.
