Danbury Police Officer arrested in N.Y.

DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A three year veteran of the Danbury Police Department has been arrested on a felony grand larceny charge in Pawling, N.Y.

28-year-old Anthony Ramos and another male were arrested last Friday by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department. Because of the seriousness of the charge, Danbury Police officials have “immediately relieved Ramos of duty,” and have placed him on paid administrative leave.

Danbury Police Internal Affairs unit say they are conducting an internal investigation into this matter.
