HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police arrested a 21 year old after an investigation for shots fired near Bellevue Street back in April.

Police say they arrested Lorenzo Ellison of Warren Street yesterday for carrying a pistol without a permit and criminal attempt at assault first degree.

The arrest stems from a shooting on April 29th.  Just before 6 o’clock, Hartford Police Department’s Shot Spotter detected two gun shots coming from Bellevue Street.  At the time, no one was able to find a crime scene or any evidence.

Investigators learned the shooter went by the street name “Pound.”  “Pound” was fighting another guy over a woman at the time of the shooting.  Eventually, it was determined “Pound” was Lorenzo Ellison.  Witnesses and evidence of the shooting came forward, leading to Ellison’s arrest.
