Wednesday: Heavy Rain Tapering-Watching Joaquin

Heavy rain finally moving out. Some drier air tonight and tomorrow. Here are your weather headlines for Wednesday September 30, 2015

  • Nice rain totals earlier today 1″ to over 2″ from viewers
  • Heavy rain is moving out
  • A scattered shower this afternoon but times of dry weather too
  • Dry weather developing tonight and tomorrow
  • A chilly NE wind tonight and could push high tide higher around 1AM
  • Chilly temperatures tomorrow and Friday
  • Some shoreline showers likely Friday with less rain inland
  • A scattered shower Saturday but not a wash out
  • All eyes on Hurricane Joaquin and it should start making that turn to the north early tomorrow
  • Intensification likely
  • It is too early for an exact track but everyone from North Carolina to Cape Cod should monitor closely
  • Model guidance will probably agree more tomorrow after the northerly turn is sampled
