Drug bust in Plainville

PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) – A Plainville man has been arrested on numerous drug related charges after a search of his apartment turned up various drugs.

Plainville Police have charged 20 year old Marcus Champagne with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intents to sell, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), operating a drug factory, and possession of drug factory paraphernalia.

On Oct. 1, police searched Champagne’s 16 Whiting Street Apartment 34 and found approximately 1.23 pounds of marijuana, 42 grams of hashish, 5.8 grams of heroin, 7.3 grams of cocaine, $9,200 in suspected drug proceeds, drug paraphernalia and packaging material for drug sales.
