NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – New Haven police are looking for two men who robbed a man on a bike path Thursday night.  Around 8:30 p.m. a 21 year old man was biking with two friends on the Farmington River Canal Trail in New Haven.  Police say they were on their way to the City Climb Gym on Shelton Avenue.

When they got to the area of Munson Street on the trail, they passed two men.  Police say as they rode past, the man ran up behind the victim and shoved him off the bike.  Police say the two hit the biker while he was down and took off with his bike and his backpack.  The pack was full of the man’s climbing gear.  The robbers didn’t get his wallet or cell phone.

The suspects are described as two black men in their 20s.  They were both wearing light colored sweatshirts.  If you have a tip call New Haven Police.
