State police searching for East Lyme credit union robber

EAST LYME, Conn. (WTNH) — State police are looking for a man who they say robbed the Core Plus Federal Credit Union in East Lyme on Friday.

Police were called to the Core Plus Federal Credit Union at 125 Boston Post Road at 9:30 Friday morning for a report of a robbery. Responding troopers secured the scene and learned that a white male walked into the bank, approached a teller, and demanded money. No weapons were displayed and he left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’6″ with a slim build. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and tan pants. He was reported to have left the bank and fled the parking lot in a pick-up truck.

No injuries were reported from this robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at (860)465-5400. All calls will be kept confidential.
