BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Bridgeport police have arrested three men who they say were unloading a Target store tractor trailer on Saturday night.
Police arrested 18-year-old Bryan Perez of Bridgeport, 21-year-old Orlando Rodriguez of Bridgeport, and 24-year-old Isaias Rivera of Bridgeport and charged them with burglary, interfering with an officer, larceny, and criminal attempt at larceny.
Officers were called to the corner of Harriet Street and Crescent Avenue just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they saw the Target tractor trailer with the rear door halfway open. Officers then saw three Hispanic males run to a car parked behind the tractor trailer that. They say the car was filled with boxes. As officers approached the men, they got into the car and tried to flee. Officers called for back-up and followed the car until it was forced to stop when it couldn’t pass assisting police cars due to a narrow road.
Police say the car was filled with boxes labeled Target. The items that police recovered were 2 boxes of dinner sets, 1 box of a coffee maker, 2 boxes of Ninja Coffee bar, 3 boxes of Solar String lights, 1 leather jacket, 1 Steve Madden purse, 1 lamp, 1 wireless stereo headset, 1 box of coffee, and assorted shoes, sunglasses, and clothing.
All items were returned to the Target tractor trailer.
