Hamden man arrested after police find cocaine in car

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hamden man has been arrested after police say they found crack cocaine in his car on Thursday.

Officers approached 28-year-old Jermaine Monteeth’s car after they saw it unoccupied, running, and parked in a handicapped spot. Police say Monteeth then approached his car, and ran after officers searched it and found crack cocaine in the center console. He was later arrested at the corner of Fitch and Arch Streets.

The Midhill Drive man is charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and interfering with police.
