South Windsor, Conn. (WTNH) – Police arrested two men for firing a pellet gun at homes. On October 5th around 1:00 in the morning police responded to a call about suspicious activity. On their way to Chapel Road and Pleasant Valley Road, they noticed a car driving in the opposite direction. The officer made note of the license plate while arriving to the area and meet with a homeowner. Officers learned that someone had fired a pellet gun at a nearby home and the house had small dents in the siding consistent with being hit with pellets. Police then went to check out the registered owner of the car they saw leaving the area moments before. They went to a home in East Hartford and talked to 22-year-old Christopher Porter who police say admitted that he a friend and a 17-year-old male were driving around shooting pellets at homes and street signs.
Officers then arrested Porter and his friend 18-year-old Malik McCalop also of East Hartford. Both are charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor and Criminal Mischief in the Third degree for involving the juvenile male in the criminal mischief activity. Both Porter and McCalop were later released on $2000.00 non-surety bond and are scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on October 15, 2015. The juvenile male was issued a summons to Juvenile Court at Rockville.
