HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police have arrested a 21-year-old who they say is responsible for sexually assaulting a woman inside a hotel.
Hamden police say they spoke with a female victim who told them she was sexually assaulted inside of a Clarion Hotel room on September 18. An investigation revealed that 21-year-old Cameron Hough of Hamden, who is an acquaintance of the victim, sexually assaulted the woman at the hotel he was staying at. The victim received medical treatment at a local facility.
Detectives submitted an arrest warrant application, which the court then approved. On October 1, officers responded to the North Haven hotel and arrested Hough. He is charged with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint. He is held on a $100,000 bond and is due in court on October 15.
