Local Red Cross volunteers to travel to South Carolina

(WTNH)– The Red Cross has announced that three volunteers from Connecticut are traveling to South Carolina to help flood victims.

A spokesperson for the American Red Cross says that they have about 150 volunteers express interest and availability in deployment. They anticipate to have many more volunteers going to South Carolina over the next few days.

Parts of South Carolina have been devastated by heavy rainfall and severe flooding following a storm.
