Natalie DeMeis of Barnum Financial discusses Medicare Season

(WTNH) – Medicare season is upon us! Ryan sat down with Natalie DeMeis, Agent Director of Barnum Financial Group to discuss what exactly Medicare season is and what people can do to ensure they get the best plan possible!

Medicare season is when the federal government has a Medicare open enrollment period. During this period, those already with Medicare are allowed to pick or change their plan that will cover them for the next year. It is important to stay check if one wants to stay or change because most Medicare plans change every year. Those who are over the age of 65 or are on social security disability are eligible for Medicare.

Ms. DeMeis also stresses the importance of a prescription drug plan. While most people are generally healthier and using fewer prescriptions, she reminds us that something could very likely happen and a prescription will be needed tomorrow.
