NEW YORK CITY (WTNH)–  Actor Tom Hanks is paying it forward by trying to return a lost student ID to a New York City college student.

On Tuesday afternoon, the 59-year-old iconic movie star tweeted a photo of the student ID from Fordham University that he found in the park, with a shout out to its owner Lauren.

The Oscar winner seems to be paying it forward after a New Yorker helped him out earlier this year. The actor tweeted back in March that he had lost his credit card but a stranger named Tony found it and returned it.

It is unknown at this time if Lauren has contacted Hanks to retrieve her student ID.
