1 dead after wood-chipper accident in Stonington

STONINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — One man is dead after police say he was pulled into a wood-chipper in Stonington on Thursday afternoon.

Stonington police were called to Ogden Farm at 117 North Anguilla Road just before 3 p.m. Thursday for a report that a man had been partially pulled into a wood-chipper. Police say that 72-year-old Nicholas Reardon of Stonington was found dead when officers arrived.

Reardon is the owner of Landscape Unlimited in Stonington. Police say this incident appears to be an accident.

The accident is still under investigation.
